Bro comic and tailgate czar Jared Freid brings frat humor upstate

Before he was one of today’s hot young comics, Needham, Mass. native Jared Freid was the “tailgate czar” at his Penn State fraternity, carefully monitoring the weekly blowout’s quota of beer, coeds and craziness. Post-grad he moved on to the world of finance, cultivating a habit of not working and sending nonsense emails that eventually found purchase with his popular Jtrain podcast, which consistently lands in the top 100 of iTunes comedy chart.
