Hamilton: Historic sweep?

Find out at the annual Tony Awards® Screening Party at Proctorsthe best viewing party in town!

At Proctors, “We Are Theatre.” So there’s no better place, shy of being seated next to Lin-Manuel Miranda at the Beacon Theatre, to see the 70th Annual Tony Awards® than at the GE Theatre at Proctors.

It’s become, as the Tony-nominated revival of Fiddler on the Roof might shout, “Tradition!”

And Hamilton-mania has the world more excited about the Tonys than perhaps ever before. With an unprecedented 16 nominations, Miranda’s musical marriage of hip-hop and history follows in the steps of other Broadway blockbusters like The Lion King, Wicked and The Book of Mormon, all of which have, or will soon be making, return trips to the MainStage at Proctors.

Other favorites up for multiple nominations on this year’s card include, in addition to Fiddler on the Roof and School of Rock—The Musical, Shuffle Along, Or The Making of the Musical Sensation of 1921 and All That Followed; She Loves Me; Waitress; and Bright Star.

Free festivities begin at the GE Theatre at 7 p.m. with red carpet pre-show coverage, and the fun continues with an open door policy throughout the evening. (Actual Tony broadcast begins at 8 p.m.)

The Tony Awards Screening Party is a casual event with couches, cabaret seating and beanbag chairs for Broadway fans. Admission is free. Apostrophe Café will offer complimentary hors d’oeuvres through 9 p.m. A cash bar will be open throughout. And, of course, there will be plenty of prizes and giveaways.

The media is invited to attend and engage.
