Augie’s Family Style Italian restaurants team with Universal Preservation Hall
Portion of sales of take-out meals will benefit renovation of
Saratoga Springs arts venue
SARATOGA SPRINGS—MARCH 5, 2018—Saratoga County restauranteur Augie Vitiello has stepped forward to support Universal Preservation Hall with a special promotion at both of his eateries—Augie’s Family Style Italian Restaurant & Take Out (17 Low Street, Ballston Spa, 518.884.8600) and Augie’s Family Style Italian To-Go (223 Lake Avenue, Saratoga Springs, 518.580.8646).
On specified Mondays and Wednesdays, through June 25, Vitiello will donate ten percent of all to-go orders towards the ongoing renovation of UPH, a community space for entertainment and events in downtown Saratoga Springs, slated to reopen in late 2019.
The Bronx-bred Vitiello, who learned the craft of cooking from his parents, opened his eponymous restaurant in Larchmont, in 1990, before relocating to Ballston Spa in 2004, where he quickly became part of the culinary and cultural scene.
“I’m so proud to team with UPH,” Vitiello says. “Saratoga is more exciting every day, and UPH will bring arts and entertainment to the region year-round. Come get some good food and feel good about it.”
“When I bring home the chicken parm, I know there will be nothing left for my lunch the next day,” laughs UPH Campaign Director Teddy Foster. “It’s so good!”
“But seriously, Augie’s commitment is inspirational. It’s no surprise he’s become such an important part of the community.”
Donations will be made from take-out orders on the first and third Mondays of each month at the Ballston Spa location; and the second and fourth Wednesdays at the Saratoga Springs location.
