Folk Icon Judy Collins and Country Artist Scotty McCreery Headline Upcoming Proctors Performances

SCHENECTADY (Jan. 9) — Proctors announces two upcoming performances featuring Grammy Award-winning folk legend Judy Collins with the Schenectady-Saratoga Symphony Orchestra and chart-topping country artist Scotty McCreery.

Schenectady-Saratoga Symphony Orchestra presents “Judy Collins: Wildflowers in Concert” to celebrate Collins’ sixth decade as an artist and 55th album 3 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 22. Collins is a Grammy Award winner and a Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee nominee whose career spans more than five decades. She is widely recognized for recordings such as “Both Sides Now,” “Send in the Clowns,” and “Someday Soon,” as well as her role in shaping the American folk music revival. This performance pairs Collins’ acclaimed repertoire with full orchestral accompaniment by the Schenectady-Saratoga Symphony Orchestra.

Scotty McCreery will appear on the MainStage at Proctors 8 p.m. Friday, April 24, presented by LiveNation. McCreery is a multi-platinum-selling artist and winner of “American Idol,” with multiple No. 1 singles on the Billboard Country Airplay chart, including “Five More Minutes,” “This Is It,” and “You Time.” Known for his deep baritone voice and traditional country influences, McCreery has earned nominations and awards from the Academy of Country Music and the Country Music Association.
