Proctors hosts peers, others for development

Organization hosts, presents professional gatherings related to its mission

Numerous organizations rent space at Proctors for meetings and conferences. Proctors also acts as an organizer and presenter of gatherings related to its mission. Two notable examples:

  • Proctors founded the first Theatre Manager First National Conference in May 2016. The three-day event was aimed at professional utilizing some or all of ticketing software Theatre Manager for box office, marketing, patron development, accounting, volunteer management, web sales and scanning. Over 60 people from throughout the U.S. and Canada attended. A second conference – expanded to four days – was scheduled for May 2017, again at Proctors.

  • Proctors was also one of several organizers of the one-day Inaugural Capital Region Creative Economy SATE Academy Day in February 2017. SATE — an acronym for Story + Architecture + Technology = Experience — cultivates a collaborative culture of production, in which designers, technologists, producers, developers and operators work closely together from the early stages of a project, in a team structure. Over 70 people attended. The Themed Entertainment Association (TEA) sponsors SATE Academy Days around the world throughout the year.
