New Sights, Sounds and Sensations in Schenectady-Saratoga Symphony Orchestra Recently Announced 91st Season

SCHENECTADY (May 10) – The Schenectady-Saratoga Symphony Orchestra announced their 91st concert season this past weekend at their “Vestiges, Heroes and Legends” performances at both Universal Preservation Hall and Proctors.

This next season will change what everyone has previously experienced at an SSSO performance. A new addition to this season is the opportunity to become completely immersed in the shows with brand-new visual components. These interwoven visual elements will vary for each concert, but all will captivate audiences and enhance the experience of the symphony.

SSSO will continue to perform in both Schenectady on the MainStage at Proctors and in Saratoga Springs at both the Arthur Zankel Music Center at Skidmore College and Universal Preservation Hall. This season’s guest artists include soloists Lisa Leonard, Jeanine Ouderkirk, Mowgli Giannitti, Elizabeth Sterling, Ann Marie Adamick, renowned trumpeter Robert Sullivan, the Octavo Singers and more.

“This season will present incredible music to stimulate your ears as well as amazing visual images and art to stimulate your eyes! Visuals and projections will accompany many of our concerts to add another layer to the audience’s live music experience, says Glen Cortese, SSSO artistic director. “We will be performing some of the great works of the orchestral literature such as the Respighi Pines and Fountains of Rome and the Verdi Requiem and well as several new works.”

Subscriptions to the upcoming season are on sale now through the Box Office at Proctors starting at $65 in-person, via phone at (518) 346-6204 Monday-Saturday 10 a.m.-6 p.m. or online visit sssony.org.
