Exciting New Lineup: Universal Preservation Hall Fall Show Announcements Revealed!

SARATOGA SPRINGS (June 14) – Saratoga Springs should get ready for an unforgettable autumn as Universal Preservation Hall announces its fall season, packed with an array of spectacular performances and events.

Kicking off the fall 2024 season is the return of Rosanne Cash to the Great Hall. Cash, the eldest daughter of country legend Johnny Cash, was the first artist to ever perform at UPH Feb. 29, 2020. Shortly after opening, though, UPH had to close due to the pandemic. This fall, Cash is back with John Leventhal 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 14.

Mystic Highway is hailed as North America’s leading Creedence Clearwater Revival/John Fogerty tribute band. Having performed songs with CCR and Fogerty throughout his career, Gil Gaidola formed Mystic Highway to celebrate the history and sound of their legendary music. The band’s captivating performances transport audiences back in time; they will be in the Great Hall 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 20.

Closing out Sept., the Great Hall will welcome platinum-selling, Grammy-nominated, Five For Fighting 7:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 27 along with a string quartet. To date, Five For Fighting has released six studio LPs, including the platinum-certified “America Town” and “The Battle for Everything” as well as the top-ten charting “Two Lights,” along with an EP and live albums. In the two decades since his first major single, “Superman (It’s Not Easy),” hit the stratosphere, Five For Fighting has both evolved and come back ’round full circle. Five For Fighting’s music has also been featured in more than 350 films, television shows and commercials, including the Oscar-winning “The Blind Side,” “The Sopranos” and others.

The Neverland Express, plus American Idol season 13 winner Caleb Johnson, will celebrate the life and legacy of Meat Loaf 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 19. This show was created and produced by Paul Crook and is the only show officially endorsed by Meat Loaf. The Neverland Express includes world-class alumni of Meat Loaf’s official band and is led by his record producer, music director and guitarist Paul Crook. The band stays true to the original recordings while delivering the excitement of a live Meat Loaf show.

Celebrating a century of musical magic from beloved Broadway shows, “Some Enchanted Evening” is a jazz-steeped sojourn exploring a bevy of the American Songbook’s most enduring hits from the golden age to today. Led by 33-year-old Emmy-nominated trumpeter and crooner Benny Benack III, the performance features the lavishly gifted singer Stella Katherine Cole and tap dance phenom Jabu Graybeal 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 14.

In November, UPH is celebrating all things grunge with Grunge Night featuring the Ledbetters and Superunknown: A Tribute to Pearl Jam and Chris Cornell 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 16. The Ledbetters are the ultimate Pearl Jam tribute band, capturing an authentic recreation of Pearl Jam’s studio recordings, combined with their intense live shows. Superunknown covers all eras of Chris Cornell, playing the music of Soundgarden, Audioslave and Temple of the Dog. Jason Reed, vocalist/guitarist, recreated the howling vocals Cornell became celebrated for in the Seattle grunge scene.

Tickets are available through the Box Office at Proctors in-person, via phone at (518) 346-6204 Monday-Saturday 10 a.m.-6 p.m. or online visit atuph.org.
