Celebrate the New Year with SSSO and Acclaimed Violinist Lara St. John

SCHENECTADY (Jan. 17) – The Schenectady-Saratoga Symphony Orchestra (SSSO) is ringing in 2025 with two extraordinary performances featuring world-renowned violinist Lara St. John. The second concert of the SSSO’s 2024-25 series, titled “Reminisce” will be performed at two venues: Saturday, January 25, at Universal Preservation Hall in Saratoga Springs and Sunday, January 26, at the MainStage at Proctors in Schenectady.

These concerts will showcase St. John’s breathtaking talent through a vibrant selection of works, including Nigel Kennedy’s dazzling “Czardashian Rhapsody,” “Djelem Djelem” by St. John and Milica Paranosic and the spirited “Opa Cupa” and “Laruška.”

Hailed as “something of a phenomenon” by The Strad and a “high-powered soloist” by The New York Times, Canadian-born violinist St. John has captivated audiences worldwide. Her illustrious career includes performances with prestigious orchestras in Cleveland, Philadelphia, San Francisco, Amsterdam and beyond.
