Capital Region Welcomes the Strange and Unusual: Nightmare EXPO to Haunt Proctors this January

SCHENECTADY, N.Y. (June 13) – Something strange is stirring in the Capital Region; Saturday, Jan. 17, the historic Proctors will transform into a haven for the occult, the obscure, and the otherworldly as the Nightmare EXPO makes its debut from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

For the first time, this immersive event will bring together more than 100 vendors and an eclectic lineup of creators, performers, and mystics for a one-day-only celebration of the beautifully bizarre. Visitors can browse booths featuring horror collectibles, dark art, witchcraft tools, and macabre oddities, all curated to delight lovers of the strange.

Throughout the day, guests can experience live performances on the MainStage, explore Oracle Alley with psychic and medium readings, and take part in hands-on taxidermy and entomology workshops. Paranormal investigators, true crime creators, and cult horror influencers will be on hand for meet-and-greets, while interactive exhibits and gothic photo ops offer plenty of haunting memories. Exclusive, limited-edition merchandise will also be available.

Presented by Nightmare Market Inc., the EXPO is a bold expansion of their signature “wicked and weird” brand — this time on a larger, more immersive scale. Whether you’re a longtime fan of the paranormal or just curious about what lies beyond the veil, the Nightmare EXPO invites all to step into the shadows.

Tickets are available at the Box Office at Proctors in person or by phone at (518) 346-6204, Tuesday–Saturday, 12-6 p.m., or online by visiting atproctors.org.
