A jaw-dropping, spectacular season is about to unfold at Proctors

The 2025-26 KeyBank Broadway Series is filled with iconic stories

SCHENECTADY—Whether you’re a devoted subscriber or a new audience member, the 2025-26 KeyBank Subscription Series promises moments to remember, a world of music, and stories that resonate.

Proctors President Jean Leonard said “This season is popular — it’s jam packed. It’s got a great mix of shows that won Tony Awards, that people have been asking for, and that are already on the road doing remarkable.”

The KeyBank Broadway Series starts with a bang when, “A Beautiful Noise: The Neil Diamond Musical” hits the MainStage Sept. 23-28. The musical memoir celebrates Neil Diamond’s journey — from the early days to superstardom — woven together through the songs that defined his legacy such as “America,” “Forever in Blue Jeans,” and “Sweet Caroline.”

The subscription series picks back up in the beginning of 2026, but before that, comes two must-see shows, “Wicked” Oct. 29- Nov. 9 and “Dr. Seuss’ How the Grinch Stole Christmas! The Musical” Dec. 2-7. Proctors first Sensory Inclusive™ performance will take place 10:30 a.m. Dec. 6 with “Dr. Seuss’ How the Grinch Stole Christmas! The Musical.” Both explosive titles are selling quickly! Don’t miss your chance to experience these shows in the extraordinary theatre that is Proctors. 

Then, start the new year off with a laugh – “Spamalot,” Monty Python’s irreverent comedy adapted into a Tony-winning musical parody comes to Schenectady Jan. 6–11. Expect knights, rubbery shrubbery, and of course, the Lady of the Lake.

Proctors, known to bring culturally iconic shows to its audiences, continues that tradition with “The Sound of Music” March 17–22. Rodgers & Hammerstein’s beloved classic, directed by Tony Award–winner Jack O’Brien shares its timeless story and irresistibly charming score.  Enjoy Maria, the von Trapp children, and beloved songs like “Do-Re-Mi,” “Sixteen Going on Seventeen,” and “Edelweiss.”

A jaw-dropping production comes in the form of “Water for Elephants,” April 7–12. The critically acclaimed bestselling novel comes to life in a unique, spectacle-filled new musical! Themes of faith, love, and wonder take center stage in this nostalgic circus‑era romance.

A must-see this season, “& Juliet” is a high-energy imaginative take on what would have happened if Juliet didn’t end it all over Romeo? Created by the Emmy-winning writer from “Schitt’s Creek,” this hilarious new musical flips the script on the greatest love story ever told filled with a pop-heavy soundtrack featuring “Since U Been Gone‚” “Roar,” “Baby One More Time,” “Larger Than Life‚” “That’s The Way It Is,“ and “Can’t Stop the Feeling!” Celebrate celebrating love, empowerment, and second chances April 28–May 3.

Proctors is also known for bringing award-winning, new titles to the stage. The 2025-26 season puts that on display with the “The Outsiders,” May 19–24. Winner of four Tony Awards — including one of the top honors, Best Musical — don’t miss the iconic coming-of-age storytelling on the MainStage. Follow Ponyboy, Johnny, and their Greaser “family” navigating loyalty and dreams in 1960’s Tulsa.

Closing out the incredible 2025-26 KeyBank Broadway Series is the iconic “Moulin Rouge! The Musical,” June 2–7. A feast for the senses, “Moulin Rouge!” brings to life the glamour, passion, and decadence of the legendary Parisian nightclub. Inspired by Baz Luhrmann’s beloved 2001 film, the musical spins a story of star-crossed lovers in a whirlwind of romance, heartbreak, and artistic rebellion.

“Our patrons here in the Capital Region, they love when we put together a season of shows they’ve heard of — and we’ve done that this season,” Leonard said.
