Proctors Collaborative and Troy Savings Bank Music Hall Both Transitioning to Tessitura System in 2026

Schenectady (Oct. 6) – Proctors Collaborative and Troy Savings Bank Music Hall announced today that both organizations will move to the CRM software Tessitura, a nonprofit customer relationship management platform, beginning Jan. 12, 2026.

This change extends far beyond the two institutions, uniting two of the Capital Region’s major performing arts organizations under one ticketing system. From Schenectady-Saratoga Symphony Orchestra and Albany Pro Musica to Universal Preservation Hall, Capital Repertory Theatre, and Opera Saratoga, Tessitura creates a shared foundation that will streamline operations, connect audiences, and strengthen the entire cultural ecosystem of the region.

Tessitura, originally built for the Metropolitan Opera, unifies ticketing, fundraising, memberships, education programs, and analytics into one system used by hundreds of arts and cultural institutions worldwide. Tessitura will serve as the central engine for both organizations.

The independent organizations will continue to share a patron database and server support, while keeping organizational independence under the consortium model. For the organizations, staff will use Tessitura to manage patron data, process tickets, run reports, and send communications. For patrons, this transition means a smoother online experience to manage accounts, purchase tickets, access benefits, and more.

“This change is about putting our patrons first,” says Philip Morris, CEO of Proctors Collaborative. “Tessitura stood out as the most intuitive, secure, and adaptable platform for the arts, and it will allow us to provide a more seamless experience for our audiences.”

Both organizations have spent more than a year preparing for the transition after Arts Management Systems’ Theatre Manager was acquired and scheduled to be phased out. Following a comprehensive review, Tessitura was selected for its reputation for excellence, security, and community support within the arts sector. Tessitura is recognized as a PCI DSS Level 1 Service Provider, with advanced security and fraud detection features to protect patron data.

“While the technology behind the scenes is changing, what remains the same is our commitment to our audiences,” says Jon Elbaum, Executive Director of Troy Savings Bank Music Hall.

“Tessitura provides a stable foundation to better serve our communities for years to come.”

Elected officials also spoke at the announcement, underscoring the impact of the transition on the region’s cultural and economic landscape.

Assemblymember John T. McDonald III, RPh says of the change, “The arts are an essential driver of economic growth in the Capital Region. This transition to Tessitura will make it easier for people to connect with our performing arts community while also providing the organizations with the tools they need to thrive well into the future. I applaud Proctors Collaborative and Troy Savings Bank Music Hall for working together to expand access to the arts.”

“Implementing Tessitura will enhance cross-regional cooperation and connect even more Capital Region residents to our burgeoning arts and culture scene,” said Senator Patricia Fahy (D—Albany). “Our theaters and arts organizations breathe life into our downtowns, cities, and communities across the Capital Region. I could not be more thrilled to see our cultural anchors take advantage of this technology and offer a new, more seamless experience to patrons from every corner of our broader Capital Region community.”

Patrons with existing accounts will see their tickets and information automatically transferred to Tessitura in January. Only minimal action will be required, such as resetting passwords and, in some cases, updating stored payment information.

With the move to Tessitura, Proctors Collaborative and Troy Savings Bank Music Hall reaffirm their commitment to innovation, accessibility, and service. The new system will provide a seamless foundation for engaging with the community, enhancing the patron experience, and supporting the long-term growth of both organizations.
