David Greenberger & The Huckleberries Present ‘Universal Preservation’ at UPH – An Exclusive Afternoon of Storytelling and Music
SARATOGA SPRINGS (Dec. 19) – Universal Preservation Hall is incredibly excited to welcome David Greenberger & the Huckleberries for an exclusive event at UPH. This one-time-only show featuring Greenberger along with Peter Davids, Chris Carey, James Gascoyne and Sam Zuccini will be in the Great Hall 3 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 19.
The aptly titled show, “Universal Preservation,” masterfully weaves together a collection of monologues and music. Greenberger’s newest artistic endeavor invites audiences into a playful world of conversations brimming with knock-knock jokes, thought-provoking questions and whimsical observations that echo the boundless curiosity of a child’s imagination. Through vivid storytelling and a genre-defying narrative, Greenberger seamlessly guides patrons from one captivating character to the next.
“Greenberger’s charming vignettes appear and then dissolve like scrapbook snapshots, giving us fleeting glimpses of the lives of the sources” (Chronogram). Each track utilizes a different set of instruments to accurately capture a musical reflection of the words being spoken. Taken from conversations at the Adult & Senior Center of Saratoga and Home of the Good Shepherd, Saratoga Springs, Greenberger aims to preserve the universal knowledge and words shared by the community.
Tickets are on sale through the Box Office at Proctors in-person, via phone at (518) 346-6204 Monday-Saturday 10 a.m.-6 p.m. or online by visiting atuph.org. Groups of 10 or more can get tickets by calling (518) 382-3884 x 139.
