Raise a Glass to Summer at “Buskers & Brews,” A Downtown Albany Celebration of Music, Drinks, and Local Flavor!

ALBANY (June 10) – Toast to the summer with an afternoon of live music, refreshing drinks, and local charm as Buskers & Brews takes over downtown Albany 12-4 p.m. Saturday, June 28, in partnership with the Irish Heritage Museum. This self-guided, passport-style event blends the best of the Capital Region’s beverage scene with live music and local flair through a curated crawl inspired by “Once” coming to Capital Repertory Theatre July 11-Aug. 10.
The afternoon kicks off at theREP, where participants will check in, receive their Buskers & Brews passport, and enjoy a complimentary cocktail, beer, or wine while enjoying a set from the event’s first pair of street performers. From there, participants can make their way through downtown at their own pace, stopping at favorite local spots including McGeary’s Irish Pub and Common Roots Albany Outpost – each hosting live buskers and food and drink specials.
The final stop is 3 p.m. at the Irish American Heritage Museum, where all participating musicians will perform together for a celebratory busker jam session. Guests who collect all four passport stamps will be entered to win exciting local prizes.
Passports are $20 and include drinks, food specials, live entertainment at every stop, and exclusive giveaways. The event is limited to 100 participants; early booking is highly recommended. Passports can be purchased online by visiting attherep.org (while supplies last).
In the event of inclement weather, all performances will move indoors at their respective venues. Buskers & Brews is a brilliant way to experience the sights, sounds, and tastes of Albany in preparation for “Once” on the MainStage of theREP, July 11- Aug. 10.
