Summer Stage Young Acting Company 2025

The Summer Stage Young Acting Company (SYAC) is a three‑week intensive theater program held at theREP studio theatre in Albany, produced in partnership with the Black Theatre Troupe of Upstate New York. Students receive training from professional theatre artists—working on character development, vocal technique, movement, and ensemble skills—with the culminating goal of presenting a fully staged, non‑musical production. This year, the featured show was “The Wizard of Oz.” SYAC is a creatively immersive, skill‑building opportunity for young actors to bring a classic play to life on a real stage under guided professional supervision.
