Ken Allen Neely Joins Cast of “Once” at Capital Repertory Theatre

ALBANY, N.Y. (Aug. 4) — Capital Repertory Theatre announced today that actor and musician Ken Allen Neely will join the Tony Award-winning musical “Once” cast for its final week of performances.
Neely will step into the role of Guy beginning Tuesday, Aug. 5, replacing Sam Sherwood, whose run concluded due to a scheduling conflict with an upcoming project. Neely will perform through the show’s final curtain Sunday, Aug. 10.
Neely is a seasoned actor-musician with credits across television, film, national tours, and regional theater. His TV and streaming appearances include “Blue Bloods” (CBS), “The Gilded Age” (HBO), “Power Book II: Ghost” (Starz), “The Equalizer” (CBS), “Harlem” (Universal), “The Deuce” (HBO) and “The Food That Built America” (History Channel). His film credits include “Steps” (dir. Blake Rice) and “Chatter” (dir. Jessica Sherif).
On stage, Neely has previously played Guy in “Once” at Fulton Theatre, where he was named Best Actor in a Musical by the Robert Fulton Awards, and at Arden Theatre, he received a Critics Circle Award nomination for Best Actor. His additional regional credits include “Rent,” “Run Bambi Run” (Milwaukee Rep), “Aida” (Engeman Theater), “Legally Blonde” (Pacific Rep), and “Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson.”
“Once” continues at Capital Repertory Theatre in downtown Albany through Sunday, Aug. 10.
