Proctors Announces Two Family Entertainment Spectaculars: Disney and Pixar’s “Coco in Concert Live-To-Film” and Erth’s “Dinosaur Zoo Live”

SCHENECTADY (June 4) — Proctors is bringing two unforgettable family experiences to downtown Schenectady with the upcoming presentations of Disney and Pixar’s “Coco in Concert Live-To-Film” 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 29 and Erth’s “Dinosaur Zoo Live” 7 p.m. Thursday, April 29 on the MainStage at Proctors.

First, audiences can experience the magic, music, and emotion of Disney and Pixar’s beloved animated film “Coco” like never before with “Coco in Concert Live-To-Film” featuring the Orquesta Folclórica Nacional de México. Inspired by Mexico’s Día de los Muertos traditions, “Coco” follows the story of Miguel, a young aspiring musician who journeys into the colorful Land of the Dead and discovers the true important of family, memory, and music. The Academy Award-winning film will be screened on the MainStage while live musicians perform the movie’s vibrant musical score in sync with the film, featuring fan-favorites songs including “Remember Me,” “Un Poco Loco,” and “The World Es Mi Familia.”

Then, prehistoric creatures take over Proctors when Erth’s “Dinosaur Zoo Live” arrives on the MainStage. Created by the internationally acclaimed Erth Visual & Physical Inc., the interactive theatrical experience features astonishingly lifelike dinosaur puppets that bring audiences face-to-face with creatures from the prehistoric era. The Chicago Tribune called it “A delightful and educational date with the dinos that provides visual oomph to rival ‘The Lion King.’” Combining imaginative storytelling, puppetry, and education, Erth’s “Dinosaur Zoo Live” invites audiences of all ages on an entertaining journey through the world of dinosaurs.
