Open Stage Media Brings Women of Excellence stories to the screen

Through visual storytelling, OSM helped bring the Women of Excellence honorees’ journeys to life.

Open Stage Media partnered with the Capital Region Chamber to help tell the stories behind this year’s Women of Excellence honorees during the Chamber’s 35th Annual Women of Excellence Awards. OSM was brought in to create a series of cinematic video profiles that gave attendees a more personal look at the women being recognized.

Over several weeks, the Open Stage Media team interviewed each honoree to reflect their professional journeys and personal impact. The goal was to move beyond titles and awards, capturing the experiences, challenges, leadership moments, and motivations that shaped each woman’s story.

Using a documentary-style approach, OSM focused on authentic conversations and personal reflections to introduce the audience to the women behind the accomplishments during the May 15 ceremony.

The 2026 honorees included Jerilee Beaudoin for Excellence in Management, Sabrina Houser for Excellence in Business, Elizabeth Mayhew for Excellence in the Professions, Diane Nazzaro for Excellence in Business Innovation, Kimmy Venter as Emerging Professional, and Mary Ellen Whitney for Distinguished Career.

For OSM, the project was an opportunity to create meaningful storytelling centered on leadership, resilience, and community impact. By producing the videos for the Chamber, OSM helped transform the awards luncheon into a more immersive experience — one where attendees could connect emotionally with the people being honored, not just their achievements.

The partnership also highlighted the growing role video storytelling plays in live events and community recognition programs. Through its work on the Women of Excellence Awards, Open Stage Media created a lasting visual archive of the celebration while helping elevate the voices and stories of some of the Capital Region’s most influential women.
