Photos: Student Volunteers Celebrated

Students with Cultivating Arts & Students Together (CAST) were recognized during a party in Key Hall at Proctors Monday, June 1. The program offered 74 students an opportunity to learn about volunteerism in professional theatres at Proctors, Capital Repertory Theatre, or Universal Preservation Hall.

They volunteered for 106 performances, scanned 200,000 tickets, and the total number of hours for all 74 volunteers was 35,298.

CAST volunteers loved the obstacle course, games and cotton candy. A special thank you to Farley’s World for the obstacle course and cotton candy.

The CAST program gives high school students, grades 9-12, the opportunity to fulfill community service credits while being close to the best shows the Capital Region has to offer. They help house management, welcome patrons, and have an opportunity to go to the show!
