Saturday Night Live Alum and Broadway Star Ana Gasteyer Comes to Universal Preservation Hall

SARATOGA SPRINGS, NY (Aug. 26) — Universal Preservation Hall is excited to welcome celebrated musician, comedian, and actor Ana Gasteyer 7:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 11. Known for her dynamic and versatile career across music, television, and Broadway, Gasteyer is a natural performer with a powerhouse voice.  She has captivated audiences for decades with her wit, warmth, and extraordinary talent.

Every holiday, Gasteyer delights fans nationwide with her cheeky holiday tour featuring tunes from her critically acclaimed album, “Sugar & Booze.” The show serves up sparkling jazz arrangements, timeless Christmas classics, and witty original songs with a playful, retro flair. Whether she’s crooning a beloved seasonal favorite or sharing hilarious observations about the holidays, Gasteyer delivers a festive performance that’s sophisticated, funny and filled with warmth. It’s a fresh take on holiday entertainment that captures the joy of the season without taking itself too seriously.

From 1996 to 2002, Gasteyer was a beloved cast member on “Saturday Night Live,” where she created a host of iconic characters and impressions, including Bobbie Mohan-Culp, Margaret Jo, and her memorable takes on Martha Stewart and Céline Dion. Her numerous television credits include celebrated turns on “The Goldbergs,” “Lady Dynamite,” “Suburgatory,” and “The Good Wife.”

A seasoned Broadway veteran, Gasteyer has dazzled on stage in productions such as “Wicked” (as Elphaba), “The Threepenny Opera,” and the 2024 Broadway revival of “Once Upon a Mattress.” Her additional stage credits include originating the role of Debra in the Tony Award-winning “Kimberly Akimbo” at Manhattan Theatre Club and portraying Miss Hannigan in a sold-out production of “Annie” at the Hollywood Bowl.
