Collaborative School of the Arts students learn from “BOOP! The Musical” National Tour dance captain
Students from the Collaborative School of the Arts at Proctors had a unique opportunity to learn from a professional working on the national stage during a special master class led by the current dance captain of the “BOOP! The Musical” National Tour.
The master class gave aspiring performers the chance to work directly with an industry professional, gaining firsthand insight into the dedication, technique, and discipline required to succeed in professional musical theatre.
As dance captain, the instructor plays an essential role in maintaining the choreography and artistic integrity of a production throughout its tour. Learning from someone currently performing this role offered students a valuable perspective on the professional theatre industry and the work that happens both onstage and behind the scenes.
Experiences like this are an important part of arts education, connecting classroom training with real-world opportunities. Beyond developing their technical skills, students gain inspiration, confidence, and a greater understanding of the possibilities available to them through the performing arts.
By bringing working theatre professionals directly into the classroom, the Collaborative School of the Arts continues to provide meaningful experiences that help students grow as artists and envision their own futures in the industry.
