Proctors Collaborative FAQ
Why don’t you mail tickets?
Proctors Collaborative has also joined countless other arts and cultural institutions in adopting paperless ticketing, which is secure, convenient, and better for our planet. We strongly encourage all of our patrons to consider electronic ticketing in lieu of traditional tickets.
Additionally, starting Jan. 12 with Tessitura, we have a ticket delay policy in place that makes it very challenging to ensure that traditional tickets arrive in time for your performance. This delivery delay is an important method in combatting third-party resellers, aligns with many touring productions’ delivery standards, and allows for more flexible exchanges and refunds for our donors, subscribers, and in emergency situations.
If you have a unique circumstance that requires mailed traditional tickets, please contact the Box Office at Proctors (518) 382-3884 to discuss options.
Can I print out my own tickets?
Electronic tickets are designed to be mobile-friendly and our scanners are able to read the QR code straight from your phone. If you prefer to print out your electronic tickets, you can certainly choose to do so. Please note that the overall formatting of electronic tickets will display differently when printed out, however the codes will still scan successfully.
What if I can’t print my tickets out?
Don’t worry — we’ll make sure you get into your seats for the show! You can present your QR codes on a mobile device for our ticket scanners. Or, you can go to the Box Office, where we will do a manual print out if needed. Please bring a valid photo ID to the Box Office.
What if I want to keep my physical tickets for a scrapbook or record?
Please feel free to print out your electronic tickets and save them wherever you’d like. If it is important to you to have traditional ticket stock, please call the Box Office at Proctors and we can arrange for that. Please note that you may be subject to a small increase in processing fees.
What if I want to mail tickets to someone else as a gift?
Thank you for thinking of us for your gifting needs! In general, we strongly recommend getting a gift certificate instead of booking specific tickets. Gift certificates work at all of our venues, never expire, and provide your recipient the most flexibility. If someone else is going to use your electronic tickets, however, please feel free to forward the e-ticket email to the attendees directly. If you need to you’re your tickets on hold at the Box Office, please call our Box Office so we can make arrangements with you. Please note that you may be subject to a small increase in processing fees.
How do I change my ticket delivery?
Currently, all tickets are set for paperless delivery by default unless you have chosen to opt-out of the program. To opt-out of paperless ticketing, go to Home and click “Email and Ticketing Preferences” under “My Patron Services,” select “Paperless Ticketing Opt-Out,” and click “Add selected Preferences.” Please note that once in place, you can pick up traditional tickets at the Box Office on the day of the show. Please also note that you will no longer receive the automatic e-ticket order fee discount.
Online, you can change your delivery on the Review Order screen. “Delivery Information” appears at the top of the review page. By default, all orders are set for electronic delivery. To change to traditional printed tickets, click “update delivery information” and when prompted, select the radio button for “Hold at the Box Office.” Click “Save Changes” and you will be returned to the review order screen with your new delivery selection in place.
When order tickets in person or over the phone, let the sales person know if you need traditional printed tickets.
How do I pick up my traditional tickets?
If you have opted out of paperless ticketing, the Box Office can print your tickets upon request. Some shows have a ticket delivery delay that limits how early we are able to print out traditional tickets, so we recommend waiting until the week of the show. If you choose to pick up tickets the day of the show, we encourage you to arrive a few minutes early to ensure that your pre-show experience is calm and not rushed. Please note that we may need to see a valid photo ID.
