Single Tickets Now on Sale for Schenectady-Saratoga Symphony Orchestra’s 2026-27 Season

SCHENECTADY (Aug. 11) — The Schenectady-Saratoga Symphony Orchestra has announced that single tickets are now on sale for its 2026-27 season, inviting audiences to experience four inspiring performances that celebrate the power of storytelling through music. From cinematic scores and operatic masterpieces to monumental symphonic works, the season showcases a dynamic range of programs across Proctors in Schenectady and Universal Preservation Hall in Saratoga Springs.

The season opens 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 25, with “Across the Channel, Across the Pond” on the MainStage at Proctors. Audiences will embark on a musical journey spanning Spain, the New World, and France, featuring Marc Migó’s “Carnival de las Indias,” narrated by Annie Dutoit with the return of guest artists Philip Fisher and Lisa Leonard, and Saint-Saëns’ magnificent “Organ Symphony,” a work renowned for its thrilling finale and sweeping orchestral grandeur.

The celebration continues 3 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 23, as “A Night at the Movies” brings Hollywood’s most memorable music to life on the MainStage at Proctors. Featuring iconic film scores paired with engaging narration, the program explores the unforgettable soundtracks that have helped define some of cinema’s greatest moments.

The SSSO joins forces with Opera Saratoga for “A Night at the Opera” at UPH, 3 p.m. Sunday, March 21. The collaboration brings soaring arias, stirring choruses, and beloved operatic works into the intimate setting of the Great Hall, offering an evening that will delight longtime opera enthusiasts and newcomers alike.

The season concludes 3 p.m. Sunday, April 18, with Mahler’s monumental “Resurrection” on the MainStage at Proctors. Featuring soprano and mezzo-soprano soloists Alexandra Henderson and Katherine Reese-Lemer, the Octavo Singers, and the full orchestra, Mahler’s Symphony No. 2 delivers a profound musical journey from darkness to hope in one of the most celebrated works in the symphonic repertoire.

In addition to the subscription series, the Schenectady-Saratoga Symphony Orchestra will present its annual holiday tradition, “Poinsettia Pops,” with two performances 7 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 5 and 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 6 at UPH featuring local guest artist Kimberly Hawkey. Filled with seasonal favorites, festive surprises, and holiday cheer, the concert has become a cherished tradition for audiences throughout the Capital Region.
