Proctors Celebrates 100th Anniversary Season with Stewart’s Centennial Celebration Ice Cream

SCHENECTADY, NY (Sept. 15) — Proctors is serving up something sweet in honor of its 100th anniversary season.

Proctors has partnered with Stewart’s to celebrate a century of entertainment, community, and unforgettable moments with Centennial Celebration, a special anniversary ice cream available at Stewart’s counters throughout the Capital Region. The partnership is part of Proctors yearlong commemoration of its history and the people, artists, and audiences who have helped shape its first century.

Centennial Celebration features vanilla flavored ice cream with cookie dough pieces, brownies, and a fudge swirl. The flavor will be available at participating Stewart’s ice cream counters Oct. 5 through Jan. 31 as part of the countdown to the 100th season celebration Dec. 27.

 “For 100 years, Proctors has been a place where our community comes together to celebrate, connect and make memories, and what better way to mark the occasion than with ice cream?” said Philip Morris, Proctors Collaborative CEO. “Stewart’s Shops is such a recognizable part of the Capital Region, making this a particularly fun way to celebrate this milestone with the community that has supported Proctors for generations.”

Proctors opened its doors in downtown Schenectady on Dec. 27, 1926. Over the past century, the theatre has welcomed generations of audiences for everything from vaudeville and film to Broadway productions, concerts, comedy and community events. The 100th anniversary season at Proctors is sponsored by Fenimore Asset Management.

Centennial Celebration will be available Oct. 5-Jan. 31 at participating Stewart’s ice cream counters throughout the Capital Region.
