Schenectady-Saratoga Symphony Orchestra announces visual components

SCHENECTADY– Along with the sounds of the Schenectady-Saratoga Symphony Orchestra audiences will be completely immersed with brand-new visual components during the upcoming 91st season.

This next season will change what everyone has previously experienced at an SSSO performance. A new addition this season are interwoven visual elements that will vary for each concert, but all will captivate audiences and enhance the experience of the symphony!

According to Glen Cortese, SSSO artistic director, “This season will present incredible music to stimulate your ears, as well as amazing visual images and art to stimulate your eyes!”

SSSO will continue to perform in both Schenectady on the MainStage at Proctors and in Saratoga Springs at both the Arthur Zankel Music Center at Skidmore College and Universal Preservation Hall.

“Visuals and projections will accompany many of our concerts to add another layer to the audience’s live music experience,” Cortese added.

This season’s guest artists include soloists Lisa Leonard, Jeanine Ouderkirk, Mowgli Giannitti, Elizabeth Sterling, Ann Marie Adamick, renowned trumpeter Robert Sullivan, the Octavo Singers and more.

“We will be performing some of the great works of the orchestral literature such as the Respighi Pines and Fountains of Rome and the Verdi Requiem and well as several new works,” Cortese said.
