Leave a Legacy
Giving back for the Future
Do you remember your first experience at Proctors – the grandeur of the theatre, the excitement of seeing world-class performers, the magic of the scenery? As we look to the future, it is time to create these moments for the next generation to keep the momentum going. You can help to ensure that others have the opportunity to experience the magic of Proctors too!
Proctors Legacy Society recognizes those generous individuals who have included Proctors in their estate plans. Members are listed in our digital playbill, on digital signage in the Wright Family Atrium, in our VIP lounge and on signage in the arcade, outside the theatre entrance. Legacy members are also invited to educational and informational events throughout the year and attend a Legacy Society dinner annually. Member can remain anonymous if preferred.

“We feel it is important to ensure that future generations will have the privilege and pleasure of enjoying the beautiful ambiance of Proctors.”

Ways to give now and in the Future
Campaign donors can choose to make a gift now so the impact is more immediate. Giving options include: cash gifts over time, appreciated securities, and gifts made through qualified charitable distributions or tax-free rollovers.
Planned or estate gifts are another way to support the Momentum Campaign. Proctors will receive these gifts in the future and may include: a specific bequest amount, a percentage of a donor’s estate, the beneficiary of all or a percentage of a life insurance or retirement plan. Planned gifts can benefit you and your loved ones today and in the future while allowing Proctors to continue to be a catalyst for excellence in education, sustainable economic development, and rich civic engagement.
As with all financial decisions, a Planned Gift should be designed with care. Our Relationships team will work confidentially with you and your legal advisors to help plan for your specific needs and the needs of your family.

“We support Proctors with our legacy so that our children and grandchildren and others in our region will be enriched by being able to see live Broadway productions right here in our own community. We ourselves have enjoyed the opportunity to see the likes of Johnny Mathis, Bob Newhart, Neil, Degrass, Tyson, Cats, and Les Miz to name a few.”

“I joined the Proctors Legacy Society specifically because of the Collaborative School of the Arts. I strongly identify with its goals of helping children, regardless of income, to have the arts in their lives. Yes, it’s wonderful to watch a performance on a world-class stage, but it’s also about teaching the next generation the skills so they are able to perform on that stage. That is so empowering to kids from across the Capital Region.”

“Proctors Theatre and now Proctors Collaborative has been a catalyst for positive change in the Capital Region by setting an example of removing barriers to help organizations work together for the betterment of our greater community. “By being members of the Proctors Legacy Society, we are leaving a meaningful mark on a leader in the regional arts that aligns with our personal values. It’s a way to add to the foundation built by earlier supporters providing resources that continue beyond our lifetimes, reflecting our passion for the arts, and enabling Proctors to thrive for years to come.”
