Organization hosts, presents professional gatherings related to its mission

Numerous organizations rent space at Proctors Collaborative venues for meetings and conferences. Proctors Collaborative also acts as an organizer and presenter of gatherings related to its mission.

Two notable examples:

  • Proctors founded the first Theatre Manager First National Conference in May 2016. The three-day event was aimed at professional utilizing some or all of ticketing software Theatre Manager for box office, marketing, patron development, accounting, volunteer management, web sales and scanning. Over 60 people from throughout the U.S. and Canada attended. A second conference – expanded to four days – was scheduled for May 2017, again at Proctors.
  • Proctors was also one of several organizers of the one-day Inaugural Capital Region Creative Economy SATE Academy Day in February 2017. SATE, an acronym for Story + Architecture + Technology = Experience, cultivates a collaborative culture of production in which designers, technologists, producers, developers, and operators work closely together from the early stages of a project in a team structure. Over 70 people attended. The Themed Entertainment Association (TEA) sponsors SATE Academy Days around the world throughout the year.

Each of our venues has multiple rooms and stages available for rentals. Depending on which venue you’re looking at, take a look at our options at Proctors (Schenectady), Capital Repertory Theatre (Albany), or Universal Preservation Hall (Saratoga Springs).
