Kathleen Fyfe named board chair of Universal Preservation Hall 
Will be installed with new officers in March

SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y.—FEB. 11, 2019—Kathleen Fyfe has been named as the new president of the board of trustees at Universal Preservation Hall, at 25 Washington Street. Currently under renovation, UPH, part of Proctors Collaborative, is set for a grand opening in early 2020 as a year-round performance venue and community gathering space.

Fyfe, recipient of a 2014 Women of Influence award, is program director of Leadership Saratoga—an intensive and selective training program working to educate people to better serve as volunteer leaders in their communities—administered through the Saratoga County Chamber of Commerce.  She will be installed at the organization’s March 14 board meeting.

A Saratoga Springs resident, Fyfe, additionally, is vice president of Community Development with the chamber and program director of a new initiative, the Saratoga County Institute of Management, which trains executives about leadership.

Fyfe says, “It’s an exciting time at UPH, and I look forward to steering us through the final steps to our unveiling next year. We will transform downtown by being expansive, inclusive and amazing.”

Also being installed for two year terms at the March meeting: Vice President Beth Fecteau; Treasurer Jason Tepper; Secretary Evan deJonghe; Immediate Past President Wayne Akey; and members at large Robert Coughlin, Todd LaRoche and Tonya Pellegrini Lawrence. 

Fellow board members include: Wally Allerdice, Willie Chavers, Katie Cristo, Reverend Rose Durr, Robert Egielski, Michelle Funiciello, Anthony Ianniello, Scott Johnson, Andrew Meader, Margaret Mount and Michael Phinney.
