Ben Golub is new marketing operations strategist
for Proctors Collaborative
Niskayuna native will handle internal accounts
and report to Allison Tebbano
SCHENECTADY, N.Y.—JAN. 10, 2019—Proctors Collaborative welcomes Ben Golub to its marketing department as the first administrative hire of the new year.
An area native, Golub signs on as marketing operations strategist. In the position, he will handle internal accounts and some show marketing, with a strong focus on education and associated programming.
Most recently, Golub, who has a bachelor’s degree in communications from UAlbany, was press coordinator at the New York State Assembly, where he oversaw strategic communications for two years.
Directly out of school, Golub spent time with Troy-based Gramercy Communications, working with a variety of clients as public relations coordinator; making use of his creative spirit and writing and relationship skills.
Golub, who lives with his wife in Niskayuna, is confident he will be a good fit with Proctors Collaborative (which embraces Proctors in Schenectady, Capital Repertory Theatre in Albany and Universal Preservation Hall in Saratoga Springs). He has, in fact, performed on the MainStage at Proctors.
“In my youth, I sang with Melodies of Christmas here. I’m passionate about the arts and I’ve always been a fan of Proctors. I am excited and grateful for the opportunity to be part of the heart of what’s happening culturally in our region.”
In his off time, Golub enjoys live music, travel, skiing and family.
He will report to Marketing Operations Director Allison Tebbano.
